Fernandes Brick and Block was founded by Mr Fernandes in Pinetown in the year 1990, Mr Fernandes owes much of his success to his father who was his inspiration while growing up in Portugal, teaching him everything he knew about the construction industry. Mr Fernandes arrived in South Africa in 1963 and started construction CC. As a property developer Mr Fernandes identified that there was a shortage of good quality and reasonably priced building materials such as bricks and blocks. It was then that he decided to begin manufacturing these products and Fernandes Brick and Block was born. Fernandes Brick and Block has grown into one of the leading brick and block manufacturers in Durban today.
